Premiere of "Fantasmagoria" by Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz
Information about the event | Zielona Góra | 17 April 2026
A world of illusion, great passions, and music transcending the boundaries of imagination – on April 17, 2026 at 7.00 pm, the Zielona Góra Philharmonic will host a unique concert combining contemporary sound explorations with the Romantic grand expression. First, the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, under the direction Ewa Strusińska, will premiere the work Fantasmagoria by Zielona Góra composer Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz.
This work, commissioned particularly for this occasion, showcases the example of the modern way of thinking about the symphony orchestra – as a space for sound experimentation and a vehicle for vivid sound images. The title itself suggests taking inspiration from the world of illusion, shifting moods, and ambiguous associations.
In the second part of the evening the performers will present one of the most captivating works of the Romantic era, Hector Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique.
