The Board of the Polish Composers' Union awarded two prizes for the promotion of Polish contemporary music and a prize in the field of education for 2026.
Professor Andrzej Wróbel received the prize for the promotion of Polish contemporary music, particularly for "his tireless and decades-long promotion of Polish music as a soloist, co-founder and member of the Polish Quartet, co-founder of the Polish Chamber Orchestra, and founder of the Camerata Vistula ensemble and the Polish Chamber Music Festival".
Hashtag Ensemble also received the prize for promoting Polish contemporary music, namely for "their significant role in shaping the contemporary Polish music scene, in particular stimulating musical creativity, creating new forms of music presentation, and implementing many important performances of new music and educational programs promoting this music in society".
The award in the field of education goes to Anna Kierkosz for her "consistent and tireless work to develop the artistic creativity of children and young people through contact with contemporary music and composers, with particular emphasis on activities that are interdisciplinary and require participation".
The awards ceremony will be held during the 69th International Festival of Contemporary Music "Warsaw Autumn".
