Radom | Inauguration of "Summer with ROK"

After a long break, the Radom Chamber Orchestra (ROK) returns with a concert to welcome summer. A new "Summer with ROK" series will be inaugurated on 21 June 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the ROK Concert Hall. Pianist Michał Drewnowski will perform as a soloist.

The inaugural concert will be filled with beautiful romantic melodies that will allow us to start the summer season in joyful mood. This year marks 210 birth anniversary one of the greatest Polish composers, Fryderyk Chopin. To celebrate this occasion, Michał Drewnowski, student of Marek Drewnowski at the Academy of Music in Łódź and Dominique Merlet and Pascal Devoyon at the Music Conservatoire in Geneva, will perform Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor, Op. 11. The programme will also include Edward Elgar's Serenade for string orchestra, Op. 20 as well as fragments of romantic serenades by Mieczysław Karłowicz, Antonin Dvořák and Piotr Czajkowski.

The next concerts of the series will take place in the courtyard of the Concert Hall (entrance from Staszica St.) on 5 July and 30 August 2020 at 7.00 p.m. Tickets are available at the cash register and online at https://biletyna.pl/.
