Restrictions on the operation of cultural institutions and sports facilities from 20 March to 9 April 2021

The restrictions on the operation of cultural institutions and sports facilities in force in four voivodeships will apply to the entire country from 20 March to 9 April 2021. This was announced on Wednesday by Poland's Health Minister Adam Niedzielski.

Operations must suspend: theatres, museums and art galleries; cinemas (the ban on screening of films also applies to cultural houses and centers); swimming pools; ski slopes; fitness clubs and gyms; sports facilities.

Details of the introduced restrictions will be included in the regulation of the Council of Ministers on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the occurrence of a state of epidemic.

The extension of restrictions to the entire country is related to the increase in the number of COVID-19 infections.
