The Musicologists’ Section of the Polish Composers’ Union invites submissions for the 2025 Rev. Professor Hieronim Feicht Award Competition.
The deadline for applications is October 31. The organizers kindly ask that entries be submitted exclusively in electronic form.
The annual Competition is open to musicologists and music theorists who are under 40 years of age on the date of submission. The aim of the Award is to promote the scholarly achievements of musicologists and music theorists from all academic centers in Poland (participants do not have to be members of the Polish Composers’ Union), to encourage musicological research, to strengthen professional integration, and to uphold the research tradition associated with Rev. Prof. Hieronim Feicht.
The Competition is open to musicological works on any topic, published in Poland in the year of application or within the two preceding calendar years.
Unpublished works (master’s or doctoral theses) or works published abroad are also eligible. In the case of unpublished theses, the date of defense is considered the date of publication.
Entries may be submitted by the authors themselves, their academic supervisors, or members of the Polish Composers’ Union by sending them to the email address of the PCU Office:
