The winner of the 2025 "Piesomen Antropon" Composition Competition, organized by the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic, is Dr. Roman Czura, a lecturer at the Katowice Academy of Music and a member of the Polish Composers' Union!
The jury, consisting of Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa, Piotr Moss, and Mykoła Diadiura, awarded him the main prize of 15,000 PLN.
Honorable mentions were awarded to Sergiusz Wrotek and Janusz Krzysztof Korczak.
Their symphonic works were inspired by Jerzy Krechowicz's tapestry "Piesomen Antropon" (Let's make a Man) Ceta. The tapestry is displayed in the right foyer of the Philharmonic building.
The highest-awarded composition will be performed during a concert with the Pomeranian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra on June 6.
Congratulations to the winners!
