The power of a symphony orchestra combined with the grandeur of the organ!
All this can be experienced during a concert by the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Antoni Wit on April 25, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This musical journey will lead us through diverse sonic landscapes—from majestic mountain peaks, through monumental organ works, to a symphonic masterpiece.
The solo parts will be performed by a true icon of organ music—French organist, composer, and educator Daniel Roth.
The program will feature Francis Poulenc’s Concerto in G minor for organ, strings, and timpani, as well as Camille Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 "Organ Symphony", both interpreted by Daniel Roth.
The concert will open with the symphonic poem Kościelec by Wojciech Kilar, inspired by the beauty and majesty of Poland’s Tatra Mountains.
The concert is co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of the "Musician-in-Residence" program, financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
