The Silesian Tribune of Composers 2017 will be held in Katowice between October 30 and November 13.
Silesian Tribune of Composers is a festival with 44-years tradition based in Katowice. It's main goal is to present works by Silesian composers and introduce audience to 20th and 21st century music repertoire. This year's edition includes three events that will take place on consecutive Mondays and will be devoted to different subjects: choir and organ music, Silesian accordion works, and electronic music and dance.
The concerts' programme will feature works by such composers as M. Schäfer, P. Szczotka, M. Strządała, R. Czura, W. Szymański, A. Chmielewska, A. Słotwiński, Ł. Urbaniak, A. Krzanowski, G. Jurczyk, P. Scheller, E. Bogusławski, E. Warzecha, J. Mamczarski, S. Bromboszcz, A. Bilińska, M. Grucki and J.-B. Sosa. The festival will also offer composing workshops and lectures.
