Stay at home with the PWM Edition

The time we now spend at home does not have to be wasted! Right now we can catch up on reading and cultural backlogs as well as learn new things.

Every YouTube fan will find something interesting on the PWM channel. There are interviews with performers and composers recorded, among others, during the 8th Festival of Premieres. Those who want to feel like at a concert should listen to film music by Wojciech Kilar, Maciej Zieliński, Michał Lorenc and others recorded during the Film Music Festival in Krakow. Recordings of works published by PWM will help in their interpretation and encourage joint music-making at home. PWM particularly recommends arrangements of works by Wojciech Kilar and Stanisław Moniuszko for brass band, realized as part of the Brass Band Library project, and piano pieces from the series 'Music from Chopin's Country' performed by the great pianists: Lutosławski Piano Duo and Weronika Chodakowska.

Among them are documentary films directed by Jan Sosiński about Zygmunt Krauze (Droga między nutami), Aleksander Nowak (Operacja opera) and Andrzej Krzanowski (Przerwana podróż) as well as recordings of the operas: ahat-ilī – Sister of Gods by Aleksander Nowak to the libretto by Olga Tokarczuk performed at the Festival Sacrum Profanum in Krakow, Bildbeschreibung by Agata Zubel and Broadcast V by Andrzej Krzanowski performed at the "Warsaw Autumn" festival.
