Sułkowice | 2nd Antoni Cofalik National Violin and Viola Competition

The Oskar Kolberg Primary Music School in Czasław invites you to participate in the 2nd Antoni Cofalik National Violin and Viola Competition for students of primary music schools, which will be held on 5-6 June 2021 at the Teaching Centre in Sułkowice (66 1 maja St.).

The Competition aims to promote young talented students, popularize violin music and the work of Prof. Antoni Cofalik, a distinguished teacher and author of numerous works for children and youth. In addition, it creates an opportunity for students and teachers to exchange experience, develop passion for music and musical skills. The compulsory programme of the Competition includes works from the series by Antoni Cofalik: In the zoo, In the circus and Aviary.

The auditions are open to the students of first-degree music schools from all over Poland, both in the six-year and four-year cycle, playing the violin or viola. The organisers provide an accompanist (upon earlier request). The participants will be judged by a jury chaired by Antoni Cofalik.

All participants of the Competition will receive commemorative diplomas, and the winners will receive material prizes. A special prize of prof. Antoni Cofalik will be granted to the best participant. The Winners' Concert will take place after the results announcement in the Concert Hall in Sułkowice.
