Świdnica | 20th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center: the world premiere of the work by Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska

A concert on the 20th anniversary of entering the Church of Peace in Świdnica in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the 20th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center will be held on 11 September 2021 at 6.00 p.m. The Polish pianist Rafał Blechacz will perform as the soloist.

The world premiere of Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska's Adagio in memory of the victims of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York will take place during the concert. The piece, commissioned by the Poznań Philharmonic, will be presented by the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Łukasz Borowicz – the institution's new music director. The programme will also include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, KV 488 – with a guest apperance of the celebrated pianist Rafał Blechacz, and Symphony No. 3 in G minor, KV 550.
