Symphonic Concert on the 75th anniversary of Ignacy Jan Paderewski’s death
A special concert organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Ignacy Jan Paderewski’s death will be held on November 18, 2016 at the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Łódź.
The programme includes Overture to the opera "Monbar, or The Filibusters", Op. 30 by Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński, Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 56 "Scottish" by Felix Mendelssohn and Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 17 by Ignacy Jan Paderewski. The solo part will be performed by Jonathan Plowright, who has become well known as an advocate of the neglected Polish Romantic repertoire, having recorded works by such composers as Ludomir Różycki, Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Zygmunt Stojowski. The artist will be accompanied by the Łódź Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Paweł Przytocki.
