The Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin invites you to the premiere online concert, which will be held on 21 June 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and willl symbolically end the ongoing artistic season. After the concert, the Philharmonic building will be illuminated in a unique way.
The Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and its artistic director Rune Bergmann, who is currently residing in Norway, prepared a surprise for the audience. We will hear their joint performance of the last part of Mieczysław Karłowicz's Symphony in E minor "Rebirth", Op. 7, which – despite the distance between Poland and Norway – will be possible thanks to modern technology. In addition, the orchestra led by its concertmasters, Paweł Maślanka and Karolina Hyla-Wybraniec, will present Karłowicz's Serenade, Op. 2 for string orchestra and The Last Spring, one of Two Elegiac Melodies, Op. 34 by Edvard Grieg, one of Karłowicz's favorite composers.
The concert will end the ongoing artistic season, however online concerts will take place regularly every Sunday during the holiday season.
