“Tell Me a Fairy Tale” – Improvisation Workshop for Children in Warsaw’s Ursynów District

Information about the event | Warszawa | 31 May 2025

The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites children and their parents to Warsaw’s Ursynów district to explore new music and the world of contemporary sounds. On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM, a workshop titled “Tell Me a Story” will be held at the Local Activity Centre / MAL Lokajskiego, located at 3 E. Lokajskiego Street, for children aged 3–8 and their parents.

The workshop will be led by its creators and experienced improvisers: double bassist Małgorzata Kołcz and composer Jarosław Siwiński, joined by their guest — harpist and painter Kasia Lewandowska.

Together with families, they will spend about 90 minutes (with a break) enjoying a playful and meaningful session surrounded by improvisation, graphic books, and the sounds of our time.
Participants will also explore different sound production techniques, highlighting the color and dynamics of sound, and will make music together with the facilitators.

Participation is free of charge — however, places are limited, so advance registration is required.
