The jury of the 13th Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Piano Competition has awarded five prizes. The Winners’ Concert in Warsaw will take place on 24 November at 7:00 p.m. in the Chamber Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic.
The performers will be: Roh Hyunjin (South Korea) – First Prize, Cecino Elia (Italy) – Second Prize, Lin Pin-Hong (Taiwan) – Third Prize, Kim Jiyoung (South Korea) – Fourth Prize, and Aoshima Shuhei (Japan) – Fifth Prize.
The laureates will perform Polish Dances, Op. 9, Album de Mai, Op. 10, and Miscellanea, Op. 16 by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, as well as works by Stravinsky, Gounod, and Schumann.
The concert will be streamed online on the YouTube channel of the Paderewski International Piano Competition and on the website https://paderewskicompetition.pl/
The competition is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund — a state special-purpose fund — within the “Music” programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance, as well as by the City of Bydgoszcz.
The main partner of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Piano Competition is the Self-Government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
