Running from February 22 to December 20, 2026, the XVII International Organ Concert Series will be held at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Warsaw (74 Solidarności Ave.), home to a historic Schlag und Söhne organ from 1900. Admission to all concerts is free.
Organ music is inextricably linked with the interior of the church. The Warsaw Reformed Church successfully survived the war years and now serves the Warsaw congregation not only during Sunday services but also constitutes a significant point on the cultural map of the capital. Its interior houses a historic organ installed in 1900 by the Świdnica-based company Schlag und Söhne. It is one of the oldest preserved and most valuable organs in the instrumentation of today's Warsaw. Thanks to the efforts of the parish, this instrument was thoroughly and historically restored between 2004 and 2008. Thanks to this, we can once again enjoy its beautiful and noble sound. On behalf of the Evangelical Reformed Parish Church College in Warsaw, I cordially invite you to a series of organ recitals on the historic Schlag und Söhne organ from 1900.
This year’s edition features an esteemed lineup of international performers: Giulia Biagetti (Italy), Liudmila Matsyura (Spain), František Vaníček (Czech Republic), Christian Bischof (Germany), Kai Krakenberg (Germany), Luca Benedicti (Italy), Hanna Bartošová (Czech Republic), Holger Gehring (Germany), Christoph Hauser (Germany), Axel Flierl (Germany), and Michał Markuszewski (Poland), who also serves as the festival's artistic director.
The recitals, scheduled for 7:00 PM, will showcase a rich repertoire spanning early music and works by early 20th-century composers from across the globe, complemented by live organ improvisations.
The project is co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw.
