The ZKP – POLMIC library has been awarded the status of a scientific library!

The Music Library of the Polish Composers' Union – Polish Music Information Center POLMIC received the status of a scientific library.

Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Culture and National Heritage prof. Piotr Gliński on the basis of the regulation of April 2, 2012 on the method and procedure for classifying libraries as part of some scientific libraries and determining their list (Dz. U. z 2016 r. poz. 137, z późn. zm.) awarded the Music Library of the Polish Composers' Union – Polish Music Information Center POLMIC the status of a scientific library.

The application for inclusion in the scientific libraries previously was positively assessed by the National Library Council.

At present, 33 libraries classified as scientific libraries in the whole country have been included in the list constituting an attachment to the Ministry's regulation.
