The Toruń Symphony Orchestra conducted by Wojciech Pławner will perform on 24 July 2020 at 7.00 p.m. in the CKK Jordanki concert hall as part of the 24th International Festival "Nova Music and Architecture".
The concert will feature two soloists: violinist Monika Skruszewicz and clarinetist Rafał Kleszcz, for whom this concert is a special award funded by the Toruń Symphony Orchestra during the 4th International Competition for Wind Instruments Finalis 2019. The programme will include Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major KV 622 as well as Wojciech Kilar's waltzes from the movies The Promised Land and The Leper.
The concert is co-organized and co-financed as part of the "Conductor-in-residence" programme of the Institute of Music and Dance. Wojciech Pławner is the conductor-in-residence of the Toruń Symphony Orchestra in the 2019/2020 season.
