Tribute to Aleksander Tansman (1897-1986) - International Conference

Lectures, concerts and an exhibition will form a line-up of an international conference, which will be held on the occasion of Aleksander Tansman’s 120th birth anniversary on March 13-14, 2017 at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.

The event will be attended by the composer’s daughters – Mirelle Tansman-Zanuttini and Marianne Tansman-Martinozzi. The concerts will feature Tansman’s music performed by the teachers and students of the Academy, as well as guitarist Łukasz Kuropaczewski. The organizers (Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Theory of Music and Music Therapy, Chair of Music Theory and History of Silesian Music Culture) will also open an exhibition entitled "Aleksander Tansman - composer, pianist and conductor".
