Tychy | AUKSO x-tra: Penderecki and Górecki

Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – two great composers of the 20th century, avant-garde masters and co-creators of the so-called Polish Composers' School. Their works will be presented by the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy on 21 June 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Tychy Mediateka.

The recent deatch of Maestro Penderecki has moved the whole world. Composer with inexhaustible energy, winner of an impressive number of awards and titles. His work has a special place in the repertoire of AUKSO. During the upcoming concert, the orchestra will perform his Three pieces in old style, Chaconne and Sinfonietta No. 3. Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – composer and teacher associated with Silesia all his life – has no less merit for Polish culture. AUKSO will present his Three pieces in old style and Concerto for harpsichord and string orchestra, Op. 40 together with one of the leading Polish harpsichordists, Marcin Świątkiewicz.

Due to the guidelines introduced by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for organisers of cultural and entertainment events during the SARS-CoV-2 virus epidemic in Poland, only a person who, to his/her best knowledge, is not infected or is not in quarantine / under epidemiological supervision may participate in the concert. Purchase of an admission ticket to the concert and participation in the concert are tantamount to acceptance of, among others, such a condition as self-protection with necessary personal protective equipment.
