Polish Composers' Union invites you to the 28th Composers' Portraits. The concerts dedicated to the works of Aleksandra Garbal and Monika Kędziora will take place on December 11-12, 2018 at 6.00 p.m. in the concert hall of the PWM Edition in Warsaw (8 Fredry St.).
On December 11, excerpts from the opera Polonica Rustica by Aleksandra Garbal will be presented. This is a chamber opera for 7 soloists (soprano, alt, tenor, baritone, violin, cello and piano) in the national style, which combines tradition and modernity. Instrumental parts are treated vocally and subjectively, combining folklore, religious and patriotic elements..
On December 12, Sepia Ensemble will perform compositions by Monika Kędziora: The Blind Sleepwalker's Prayer for soprano solo to words of Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, 7 miniatures for solo piano micro-nano-mos, Plaudens for solo flute, cres-cere for clarinet, cello and piano and Mulceo for flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano.
