Warsaw | Bedřich Smetana. My Homeland – heart of the Czechia

The series of symphonic poems Má vlast (My Homeland) by Bedřich Smetana will be performed on the 26^th of February, 2023 at 19.00 in the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio by Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra conducted by Martyna Zych.

Each of the six poems refers to a selected place, an episode in the history of the Czech Republic and Czech legends, constituting an extraordinary musical expression of the composer's ardent patriotism. The compositions delight with beauty of the melody, colorful orchestration and suggestive illustrativeness.

Conductor Martyna Zych, who is also a violist of Sinfonia Iuventus, specializes in Czech music.
