POSI 21.1.23Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC

On the 21st of January, 2023 at 19.00 the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw will host a carnival concert of the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra. The repertoire includes works by John Williams, Jeff Beal and Leonard Bernstein. The soloists will be Michał Barański (bass guitar and double bass), Michał Tokaj (piano), Łukasz Żyta (drums) and musicians from Sinfonia Iuventus conducted by Przemysław Neumann.

2023 marks the 105th anniversary of the birth of the great conductor and composer, Leonard Bernstein. This is a good opportunity to recall his achievements, of which the musical West Side Story is especially loved. A selection of symphonic dances from the musical, always eagerly listened to, will be complemented by a colorful, lively overture to the operetta Candide by the same author.
