The Polish Music Council and the Polish Composers' Union invite you to a concert of the memory of Elżbieta Chojnacka on the first anniversary of her death, which will take place on June 6, 2018 at 8.00 pm at the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art.
The performer of the evening will be Aleksandra Gajecka-Antosiewicz – harpsichordist and pianist, doctor of musical art, graduate of the G. and K. Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź in the class of prof. Ewa Piasecka (1999) and in the class of prof. Marek Drewnowski (2000). In the years 2001-2003 she studied at the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg under the direction of outstanding harpsichordist prof. Elżbieta Chojnacka, who recognized A. Gajecka-Antosiewicz as her successor and heiress. In 2015, after completing doctoral studies with prof. Ewa Piasecka, she defended her first doctoral dissertation in Poland on the performance of contemporary harpsichord music. In March 2018, at the Palace in Rybna, she founded the Elżbieta Chojnacka Center for Contemporary Harpsichord Music. The hapsichordist will present works by György Ligeti, Zygmunt Krauze, Paweł Szymański, Jerzy Kornowicz and Grant MacLachlan.
The program also includes the screening of Elżbieta Chojnacka. Harpsichordist movie directed by Jan Hryniak (TVP, 2000) and memories of invited guests: Zygmunt Krauze, Paweł Szymański, Jerzy Kornowicz and Paweł Mykietyn. The event will be led by Grzegorz Michalski, president of the Polish Music Council.
