A concert devoted to Sławomir Czarnecki, president of the Warsaw branch of Polish Composers' Union, on the occasion of the 50th jubilee of artistic work, will take place on January 12, 2019 in the Warsaw headquarters of the PWM Edition.
The evening will be filled with Czarnecki's chamber music of patriotic overtone: Wierch Fantasia, Funeral Sonata, Mazurkas for piano, Capriccio Zawrat, Kuyavian Sonata, and Trio "Perseids" (to the memory of heroes who died for freedom). The works will be presented by the composer's friends – well-known Polish artists from Warsaw, Poznań, Gdańsk, Bydgoszcz: violinists Paul Preuss, Krzysztof and Jakub Jakowicz, viola player Lech Bałaban, cellist Filip Syska, double bass player Andrzej Kaczanowski, flutist Klaudia Grad. The piano part will be performed by Larysa Miszkowska-Wiltos, Radosław Kurek, Witold Kawalec, and Krzysztof Sowiński.
