Warsaw | New Music Scene: The Music of Trance

Another concert of the series "New Music Scene", organized by the Witold Lutosławski Society, will take place on May 25, 2019 at 7.00 p.m. at Nowy Teatr in Warsaw. Chain Ensemble will perform work by Simeon ten Holt and Witold Lutosławski.

Palimpsest for string septet (4 violins, viola, cello and double bass) by Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt (1923–2012), composed in the early 1990s, is music for the lovers of pleasant sounds, where traditional tonality and obsessive minimalistic trance are arranged in 11 parts.
