In the programme of the concert from the ‘Polish Music Scene’ series on the 13th of December, 2022 at 19:00 at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the works of Polish artists as part of the cycle organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance will be presented by well-known Polish artists: violist Katarzyna Budnik and pianist Grzegorz Mania.
We will hear the late-romantic Sonata by the completely forgotten composer Wojciech Gawroński and the Sonata of Philipp Scharwenka.
The programme includes also Sonata No. 3, written by Mieczysław Wajnberg in 1945, just after the end of World War II.
Interspersed between the sonatas are miniatures for viola and piano - Mieczysław Karłowicz's Serenade and Zygmunt Stojowski's Fantasy.
