The Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra invites you to the Royal Castle in Warsaw on May 24, 2019 at 7.00 p.m. The musicians will perform under the baton of Anna Duczmal-Mróz, who was hailed as a "sensational conductor" by the German press.
The programme of the concert will be composed of 20th-century Polish music as well as works by Gustav Holst and Dmitry Shostakovich. Sinfonia Iuventus under the baton of Anna Duczmal-Mróz will perform a splendid four-part Serenade, Op. 2 for string orchestra by Mieczysław Karłowicz and Orawa by Wojciech Kilar, a composer's tribute to the beloved mountains and musical folklore of Podhale. The programme will also include Gustav Holst'sSt Paul’s Suite,Op.29, No. 2, and Dmitri Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony, Op. 110a.
