On the 11th of October, 2022 at 19.00 the Warsaw Philharmonic invites you to the premiere of the Concerto for accordion and strings by Mikołaj Górecki.
The work will be performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and Maciej Frąckiewicz and conducted by Jan Lewtak. The piece was created as part of the ‘Composers’ Commissions’ programme carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
During the monographic concert with the music of Górecki family, the works of Henryk Mikołaj will be represented by Three Pieces in Old Style, created over half a century ago, inspired by the music of the Polish Renaissance.
However, the programme will be dominated by the son’s, Mikołaj Górecki's compositions written over the last three decades.
The premiere of Mikołaj Górecki's Concerto for accordion and strings was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, from the Culture Promotion Fund - a state special-purpose fund, as part of the ‘Composers’ Commissions’ programme carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
