On May 9, 2018 at 7.00 p.m. the Witold Lutoslawski Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw will host another concert from the series "What's the most beautiful ...".
"The Spring" is the third part of the unique series of concerts started by Polish Radio in the autumn of 2017. The aim of the concerts is to popularize Polish and world music, including classical music, among those who seek contact with high culture.
For the first time together in Poland on one stage, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra and The Puppini Sisters will take us into the world of swing. Originally from London, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra consists of 11 musicians who have been performing continuously and successfully all over the world for over 40 years. The hit trio, The Puppini Sisters, performs in the most prestigious concert halls around the world. The concert at the Witold Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio promises to be an exceptional music event that will recall the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s atmosphere.
The second part of the spring concert will feature excellent film music composed by Wojciech Kilar, performed by the Polish Radio Orchestra under the direction of Michał Klauza: music from Zemsta, Trędowata, Ziemia Obiecana, as well as fragments of the suite from Pan Tadeusz and Dracula. Honorary patronage over the whole cycle "What's the most beautiful ..." was taken by the National Media Council.
