Warsaw | "Stage for Polish Music": proMODERN vocal sextet
The proMODERN vocal sextet will present rarely performed works by famous contemporary Polish composers on 11 March 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Warsaw Philharmonic.
The programme of the concert will feature 3 Sonnets by Stanisław Moryto, 2 motets by Roman Padlewski, 10 Polish folk songs on soldier themes and Lord Tennyson Song by Witold Lutosławski, Song to the Virgin Mary by Andrzej Panufnik, Orpheus in the forest by Tadeusz Paciorkiewicz and songs by Tadeusz Baird.
The “Stage for Polish Music” is a new project of the Institute of Music and Dance aimed at Polish music performers and organised in collaboration with the Warsaw Philharmonic and arts institutions in Poland. Programmes featuring Polish music, selected on the basis of a competition, will be presented at the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Hall and then repeated in other cities in Poland.
