On the 11th of October 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the concert hall of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia will perform the world premiere of Wo The solo part of the piece will be performed by the composer himself. The programme will also include György Ligeti's Concerto Românesc and Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 in F major. The concert will be led by the Belgian conductor Martijn Dendievel.
A unique concert, part of the celebration of the 85th birthday of Zygmunt Krauze, will inaugurate this year's edition of the ‘Wednesday on Okólnik’ series.
The composer's Piano Concerto No. 4 was commissioned by Sinfonia Varsovia as part of the ‘Composer’s Commissions’ programme of the National Institute of Music and Dance.
