Welcome to Summer with the NFM Children’s Choirs

Information about the event | Wrocław | 22 June 2025

The uniqueness of late June inspired the NFM Girls’ Choir and NFM Boys’ Choir under the direction of Małgorzata Podzielny to present a concert that will take us into the world of childhood. On June 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM, at the National Forum of Music, special songs by Witold Lutosławski will sound, accompanied by a touch of magic from the films about the one and only Mr. Kleks.

The work of the NFM’s patron is not only symphonies or instrumental concertos but also compositions intended for the youngest audiences. Among these are Wianki and Pożegnanie wakacji, set to the words of Stefania Szuchowa and Lucyna Krzemieniecka, respectively; Bajka iskierki, with text by Janina Porazińska; and Nocny Marek, with lyrics by Janina Osińska and Roman Pisarski.

On this summer afternoon, many of these pieces will be performed by young choral enthusiasts. A truly magical atmosphere will be evoked by songs from the films about perhaps the most famous Polish wizard – Mr. Kleks. Witajcie w naszej bajce (“Welcome to Our Fairy Tale”) and Na wyspach Bergamutach (“On the Bergamuty Islands”) are just some of the enchanting melodies that will be presented by the NFM children’s choirs. The music of Andrzej Korzyński will this time be heard in arrangements by the young Wrocław composer Michał Ziółkowski.

The artists will also perform a fragment of the soundtrack from the famous French drama The Chorus – the piece Vois sur ton chemin by Bruno Coulais.
