The National Institute of Music and Dance announces a call for applications for the pilot edition of the program "Wind Bands Workshop: Texts and Multimedia” for the years 2026-2027. The resulting texts and multimedia materials may be published by the Institute in the future and serve as a foundation for systematized knowledge in the field of wind bands in Poland. Applications can be submitted until July 20, 2026.
The objective of the "Wind Bands Workshop: Texts and Multimedia” program is to create and expand the body of knowledge concerning wind bands in Poland, including their history, organization, repertoire, and all related aspects of culture and music education.
Within the framework of the program, funding will be provided for studies – texts and multimedia – regarding topics related to ensembles operating both professionally and in the amateur sector. The expected outcomes of the program include scholarly, popular-scientific, and outreach texts, catalogs, databases, educational and instructional materials, as well as website resources.
The studies may be intended for both professionals and a wide audience, including children and youth.
The pilot is addressed to adult individuals, including those conducting business activity.
Individual authors may apply for funding for studies up to PLN 15 thousand gross, and authors operating in teams (up to 3 people) up to PLN 25 thousand gross. The budget of the edition is PLN 150,000.
The implementation of the program runs from August 2026 to May 2027.
