Winners of the 1st Ear Training Competition "SŁUCHOGRAMY: A≠440"

20 participants from across Poland tested their auditory perception skills by facing a set of 10 “SŁUCHOGRAMY” specially created for the 1st National Ear Training Competition “SŁUCHOGRAMY: A≠440" by Paweł Siek and Paweł Bogdanowicz – teachers of theoretical subjects at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Sochaczew. The jury awarded 3 prizes and 5 honorable mentions.

Additionally, each participant had the opportunity to explore the works of three young composers – representatives of the Young Composers' Circle of the Polish Composers' Union. They prepared "5 questions from the composer" cards, based on selected works by Magdalena Garbecka, Leonardo Rizzo, and Monika Sroczyńska.

The jury selected 8 finalists who presented their skills in sight-singing and rhythmic exercises.

The jury, consisting of Dr. Grażyna Paciorek-Draus (chair), Monika Sroczyńska, and Leonardo Rizzo, awarded the following prizes and honorable mentions:

1st place - Wojciech Stosel from the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School of Secondary Education in Cracow

2nd place - Klaudia Lewkowicz from the Henryk Wieniawski State Music School of Secondary Education in Łódź 

3rd place - Amelia Mleczko from the Prof. Józef Świder State Music School of Primary and Secondary Education in Jastrzębie-Zdrój 

Honorable mentions:

• Klaudia Kostrzewa from the Self-Government Music School in Skierniewice 
• Michalina Król from the Mieczysław Karłowicz State Music Schools in Cracow
