Winners of the 4th "Art and Violence" Composition Competition!

The jury of the 4th “Art and Violence” Composition Competition, organized by the Cracow-based 2Act Foundation in cooperation with project partners Capella Cracoviensis and the ZAiKS Authors’ Association, has awarded two prizes:
First Prize went to Massimo Lauricella (Italy), and Second Prize to Alex Jimenez Ruanova (Mexico).

This year’s competition called for the composition of a solo work for pedal harp, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, reflecting the theme of various forms of violence.

The jury, composed of Anna Zawadzka-Gołosz, Zofia Dowgiałło-Zych, Olga Hans, and Jarosław Płonka (jury secretary), reviewed 22 scores submitted by composers from Armenia, Brazil, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Spain, Iran, Ireland, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Ukraine, the United States, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
