The National Institute of Music and Dance invites all residents of Lower Silesia to an Advent choral concert as part of the "Classics Across Poland" series. On December 14, 2024, at 7:00 PM, the "Gaudium" Choir of the University of Wrocław will perform at the Basilica of St. Hedwig in Legnickie Pole.
The choir is composed of students and graduates of the University of Wrocław, as well as students and graduates of other Wrocław universities. In 2023, the choir celebrated its 40th anniversary of artistic activity. Since 1993, the artistic image of the choir has been shaped by Prof. Alan Urbanek.
Under his direction, the ensemble will perform Ave Maria and an aria from the Polish Te Deum by Mirosław Gąsieniec, as well as Ave Maria by Giulio Caccini in an arrangement by Vladimir Vavilov, and the Mass in G major D167 by Franz Schubert.
