Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
Alena Baeva is one of the most valued violinists of our times. Together with the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra on the 20th of January, 2024 at At 6:00 p.m., the artist will present her interpretation of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Violin Concerto in E minor, one of the most famous works of this type in the history of music. The programme also included two compositions for strings - by Dag Wirén and Mieczysław Karłowicz.
The NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra will be conducted this evening by the assistant concertmaster, violinist Magdalena Ziarkowska-Kołacka. The ensemble will perform, among others: Serenade in C major, Op. 2 by Mieczysław Karłowicz, which was composed in 1897 during the composer's studies in Berlin.
