The International Cello Academy is one of the few events in Europe aimed at cellists from all over the world. It takes the form of a festival, but it has primarily an educational function. The final concert of the 10th International Cello Academy will take place at the National Forum of Music on the 26th of July, 2023 at 7.00 p.m., and the premiere of Artur Zagajewski's piece – [hyphen] for cello quartet will be presented.
The originator and organizer of the International Cello Academy is the Polish Cello Quartet. It is Tomasz Daroch, Wojciech Fudala, Krzysztof Karpeta and Adam Krzeszowiec who will perform most of the works. There will also be cellists Gary Hoffman, Tomáš Jamník and harpist Carlos Roberto Peña Montoya as soloists, and the Orchestra of the International Cello Academy.
