The Summer Chamber Festival ‘Music in old Wrocław’ will take place between the 2nd of July and 27th of August, 2022. When great institutions are ‘dozing’ and the audience does not necessarily like rock or jazz, good chamber music is a great choice. Admission to the concerts is free!
The programme of this year's event enables the inhabitants of Wrocław and tourists visiting the capital of Lower Silesia to make a musical journey from the early baroque to the present day. The organizer - the Association of Artistic Initiatives ‘Mosty Kultury’ wants to refresh the tradition of music salons and thus make classical music more accessible. In the beautiful, carefully selected historical interiors of Wrocław, in the evening time, interesting and still little known chamber music literature will be presented at the highest artistic level, including works by Jan Adam Maklakiewicz, Karol Szymanowski, Jan Gall, Stanisław Niewiadomski, Wojciech Kilar, Andrzej Panufnik and Mieczysław Weinberg.
