On May 10, 2025, the Society of Authors ZAiKS – the most important collective management organization for copyright in Poland – once again presented its awards at the House Under the Kings. The circle of laureates has grown to include more outstanding Polish musicians.
As stated during the awards ceremony by composer Miłosz Bembinow, President of the Society of Authors ZAiKS and a member of the Polish Composers’ Union (ZKP), "it is a great honor to recognize such distinguished individuals and such exceptional people, whose achievements are the best testament to the vitality of Polish culture and the entire creative community."
During this special evening, three types of distinctions were awarded. The celebration also honored artists for their exceptional contribution to the development of Polish classical music, as well as for their involvement in the activities of the Society. This year’s honorees included, among others, Hashtag Lab and Rafał Zapała – for promoting contemporary Polish music – and composer Przemysław Zych, for an outstanding composition for children: the ballet The Snow Queen.
During the gala, the ZAiKS Centennial Award was also presented to prominent creators who have made a special contribution to the development of Polish culture and public life, including musicians: composer Maciej Małecki, vocalists Irena Santor and Majka Jeżowska, as well as the band Wolna Grupa Bukowina.
