The 22nd Ensemble Festival will take place from August 30 to September 7, 2025, at the House of Creative Work – Palace in Radziejowice. The program will include four simultaneously held and mutually complementary elements: Chamber Music Interpretation Workshops (for classical musicians), Jazz Workshops, Acting Workshops, and a series of concerts and performances showcasing the joint work of young artists and professors. Admission to the concerts and the theatrical performance as part of the Ensemble Festival is free of charge.
The results of the workshop sessions will be presented during six classical concerts, a jazz concert, and a theatrical performance. Performed by chamber ensembles, the repertoire will include works by the great classical composers (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chaminade), pieces from the Romantic canon (Brahms, Schubert, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Dvořák), 20th-century classics (Pärt, Kagel, Schönberg, Shostakovich, Vaughan Williams), as well as contemporary works (Françaix, Markowicz, Shaw).
On September 5, the world premiere of the Piano Quintet by Jan Duszyński, composed especially on commission from the organizers, will take place.
Among the professors of the 22nd Ensemble Festival are: Paavali Jumppanen (piano, Finland), Jakub Jakowicz (violin, Poland), Szymon Krzeszowiec (violin, Poland), Marcin Markowicz (violin, Poland), Tomoko Akasaka (viola, Japan/Germany), Julius Berger (cello, Germany), Magdalena Bojanowicz (cello, Poland), Tomasz Januchta (double bass, Poland), Sebastian Aleksandrowicz (oboe, Poland). All of them will perform during the opening concert.
The Jazz Workshops will be led by Marcin Masecki. The Acting Workshops will be conducted by Cezary Kosiński and Oskar Hamerski.
All the artists will be accompanied by 23 students from the best art schools in Poland and abroad.
The Artistic Director of the Ensemble Festival is Marcin Markowicz – a recognized violinist and composer.
