The 2nd International Andrzej Dobrowolski Composition Competition is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Polish composer and pedagogue Andrzej Dobrowolski, and to his work, which frequently bridges the sonic worlds of electroacoustic sounds and acoustic instruments. The competition is organized by the Poznań Contemporary Music Foundation under the patronage of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME), the Electroacoustic Music Studio in Poznań (SMEAMuz Poznań), and in cooperation with the International Festival of Contemporary Music “Poznań Musical Spring.” The deadline for submissions is February 10, 2026.
The competition is open to participants of all ages.
The subject of the competition is a work for clarinet and electronics with a duration of between 6 and 10 minutes.
Only works that have not previously been awarded, published, or publicly performed may be submitted.
Submissions must be fully anonymous. The score and performance materials may not contain the composer’s first name(s), surname, or any indication of the author’s identity. Scores should be sent by email to:

- First Prize – 2,000 PLN
- Second Prize – 1,500 PLN
- Third Prize – 1,000 PLN
All finalist compositions will be performed during the 55th International Festival of Contemporary Music “Poznań Musical Spring.” The concert will take place on April 26, 2026, at the Academy of Music in Poznań, featuring Julian Paprocki, a Polish clarinetist specializing in contemporary music performance.
The jury will consist of: Panayiotis Kokoras (Greece/United States) – Chair, Michał Janocha (Poland), Julian Paprocki (Poland), and Alla Zahaikevych (Ukraine).
