35th International Music Course in Opole

The 35th International Music Course in Opole and the 18th Silesian Summer of Music Festival will take place from August 5 to 16, 2025. This year’s anniversary course is open to soloists and chamber ensembles. The program includes individual lessons (a minimum of five lessons), rehearsals and sessions with accompanists, classes for chamber ensembles as part of the Play with a Master project, accompanying lectures and workshops, as well as concerts. The application deadline is June 24.

The workshops will be led by: violinists – Tomasz Tomaszewski, Włodzimierz Promiński, Krzysztof Polonek, Christian Danowicz, and Martyna Pastuszka; pianists – Hubert Rutkowski, Katarzyna Ewa Sokołowska, Paweł Zawadzki, Volker Stenzl, and Katarzyna Drogosz; violist – Michał Micker; cellists – Bartosz Koziak, Tomasz Pokrzywiński, and Katarzyna Polonek; and double bassist – Leszek Sokołowski.
Individual lessons may be taken with more than one instructor. It is also possible to purchase additional individual lessons. Participants may also take part in a chamber orchestra project. Due to the limited number of places, admission to the orchestra will be determined by the instructor leading the project.

Accommodation during the course is available at the Dormitory of the Mechanical School Complex at 20 Osmańczyka Street in Opole.

Concerts featuring professors and participants are planned, with programs traditionally including contemporary Polish music.

Funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
