Events of the 55th Legnica Cantat Choral Festival will last an entire week – from May 19 to 25. Throughout the festival, audiences can expect an array of extraordinary artistic experiences: the thrilling Choir Tournament, exceptional concerts – the Jubilee Concert, the LC54 Laureates’ Concert, and the Final Concert – as well as a variety of engaging accompanying events.
The best choirs from across the country will compete musically, showcasing their vocal artistry at the highest level. They will also vie for a place in the Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music, an annual competition aimed at selecting the best choir in Poland. It’s an unforgettable opportunity to hear diverse interpretations of choral works, including pieces of contemporary Polish music – from classical repertoire to modern arrangements.
The Jubilee Concert of the 55th edition of the Legnica Cantat Choral Festival promises to be a true artistic feast! On May 23, in the historic courtyard of the Knight Academy, audiences will experience a unique show combining traditional choral music with modern jazz sounds – featuring Grzegorz Turnau, the Art’n’Voices Vocal Ensemble, and Michał Tokaj.
In addition, several workshops are planned:
– "Sound Awakening" by the Art’n’Voices Ensemble,
– "Inclusivity in Choral Music" by the Silent Choir of the University of Silesia,
– "The Essence of Movement in Choral Music", led by Anna Konopka.
