The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań invites composers to participate in the 5th Andrzej Koszewski International Composers’ Competition. The deadline for submitting scores is October 27, 2025.
The subject of the Competition is a composition for a cappella mixed choir (maximum 8 voices). The maximum duration of the piece should be 4 minutes. The Competition is open to composers of any nationality who were born after December 31, 1989.
Submitted works must not be publicly performed, published, or awarded in any other competition prior to the announcement of results. Only compositions written after 2020 are eligible. Each participant may submit only one composition.
Scores must be submitted anonymously, marked with a pseudonym (motto/code).
The following cash prizes are planned:
- 1st Prize – 5,000 PLN
- 2nd Prize – 2,500 PLN
- 3rd Prize – 1,200 PLN
In addition, one of the awarded compositions will be performed during the 20th National Stanisław Kulczyński Choral Conducting Competition in Poznań.
