64th Łańcut Music Festival

The 64th Łańcut Music Festival, organized by the Podkarpacie Philharmonic, is a dream come true for many music lovers. Surprising scenes of birds dancing with performers soaring above the stage, Bach alongside Brazilian samba, a journey into the mysterious Middle Ages, masterful classical music, outstanding instrumentalists, singers, chamber ensembles, choirs, orchestras—and of course, Superstars! Eleven concerts will take place between May 15 and June 8, 2025, in the Ballroom of the Łańcut Castle Museum and the Concert Hall of the Podkarpacka Philharmonic.

This year’s edition will feature Plácido Domingo, Ewa Tracz, Bernadetta Grabias, Rafał Bartmiński, Andrzej Dobber, Rodrigo Leão, Linus Roth, Paul Antony Young, as well as ensembles such as the Choir of the National Philharmonic, the Podkarpacka Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of David Giménez, the Brazilian orchestra Johann Sebastian Rio, the Primuz Chamber Orchestra, the Gliere String Quartet from Vienna, the early music groups Giardino di Delizie from Rome and Ensemble Peregrina from Basel, and the Venezuelan-American piano duo Vanessa Perez and Kristhyan Benitez.

The program will also include contemporary Polish music. Vanessa Perez and Kristhyan Benitez will perform Witold Lutosławski’s Variations on a Theme by Paganini. The Primuz Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Łukasz Błaszczyk, will present a work by Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa dedicated to Krzysztof Penderecki, along with compositions by Piotr Moss and Sławomir Kaczorowski.

A magical highlight will be the show Chełmoński. Painted with Sound, with music by Maciej Muraszka. The “dance of birds,” featuring dancers soaring above the stage, animated paintings by Józef Chełmoński, as well as anecdotes and fascinating stories about the life and art of the master of Polish realism, will create a spectacular event featuring The Synesthesia Orchestra and the Mira-Art Acrobatic Dance Theater performers.
