7th Ludomir Michał Rogowski Music Days in Lublin

Information about the event | Lublin | 23 November 2025

On 23 November 2025 at 6:00 p.m., a chamber concert will take place at the Crown Tribunal in Lublin as part of the 7th Ludomir Michał Rogowski Music Days. For the first time since World War II, in the composer’s homeland, the Lubliner Piano Duo will perform the Variations in A major for piano in the four-hand version. Admission is free!

The music of Ludomir Michał Rogowski is still being rediscovered. A significant part of his output was devoted to chamber music for various ensembles, including piano duo. In composing such works, he drew not only on classical European heritage and its contemporary impressionist interpretation, but also on the piano tradition of Fryderyk Chopin. The Lubliner Piano Duo – Dorota Turkiewicz-Hanaj and Urszula Świerczyńska – will also present Rogowski’s Six Preludes arranged for four hands. Works by Johannes Brahms and Ludwig van Beethoven will also be performed.

The event will conclude with interpretations of virtuosic solo piano pieces by Józef Wieniawski in four-hand versions, created during the composer’s lifetime.

The concert is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Lublin, Dr. Krzysztof Żuk, and the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Poland. The project is carried out with the support of the City of Lublin.
