8th “Music in the Blumwe Villa” Festival: "Autumn"

Information about the event | Bydgoszcz | 30 November 2025

The Piotr Orawski Foundation and Polish Radio PiK invite you to the autumn edition of the 8th “Music in the Blumwe Villa” Festival. In 2025, the festival has been divided into two parts — the first took place in the spring, featuring six exceptional concerts. Now it’s time for the second part: AUTUMN, which will run from November 30 to December 8.

The opening concert will take place in the Symphony Hall of the new campus of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. Violinist Soyoung Yoon and pianist Marcin Sikorski will perform works by Szymanowski, Weinberg, and Lutosławski — full of poetic expression and virtuosity.

The next event, on December 1, will take place in the Concert Hall of the State Music School Complex in Inowrocław, where Weronika Wojtkowska (mezzo-soprano) and Natalia Jadzińska (piano) will present a recital of art songs.

On December 4, in the historic Blumwe Villa (home of Polish Radio PiK), cellist Magdalena Bojanowicz will perform solo masterpieces by Bach, Weinberg, and Hindemith – three visions of musical introspection in which the instrument becomes a voice of profound spirituality.

The festival will conclude on December 8 in the Chamber Hall of the new campus of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, with Jarosław Nadrzycki, Joanna Kreft, Katarzyna Budnik, Dominik Płociński, and Bartłomiej Wezner performing piano quintets by Ignacy Friedman and Juliusz Zarębski – works full of passion, lyricism, and virtuosity.

All concerts will be hosted by Magdalena Jasińska (Polish Radio PiK) and Bartłomiej Wezner, the festival’s artistic director.

The “Music in the Blumwe Villa” Festival is not only an encounter with exceptional music, but also with the spirit of place — with stories told through sound.

The 8th “Music in the Blumwe Villa” Festival is held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Bydgoszcz, Rafał Bruski.
It is co-financed by the City of Bydgoszcz, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Cultural Promotion Fund under the “Music” program implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance, and from the budget of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship Government.
The Festival Patron is Yamaha Pianos.
