The final concert of the Polish Society for Contemporary Music's project “Journeys Through Music for Children from the Kłodzko Region” will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Centre for Culture and Recreation in Lądek-Zdrój. Admission to the interactive family concert, titled “A Musical Journey to the Land of Improvisation,” is free!
This year’s project by the Polish Society for Contemporary Music, “Journeys Through Music for Children from the Kłodzko Region,” is coming to an end. Thanks to co-financing under the National Centre for Culture’s program Culture – Interventions. 2025 Edition, experienced musicians have introduced the youngest residents of the Kłodzko Region to the world of contemporary music and improvisation. So far, parts of the project have taken place at Kindergarten No. 2 in Kłodzko, Primary School No. 2 in Bystrzyca Kłodzka, and the Cultural Centre in Domaszków.
Still to come are workshops on October 16–17 for students from Primary School No. 3 in Kłodzko and the Primary School in Krosnowice.
The final interactive concert (approx. 50 minutes, for children aged 5 and up) is based on a story created together by an actor and the children, accompanied by improvising musicians. Performers include: Bartosz Kołsut (accordion), Małgorzata Kołcz (double bass), and Jarosław Siwiński (synthesizer). The journey through fairy tales will be led by actor and children’s theatre director Grzegorz Ociepka.
Together with the artists, the audience will travel through various lands of imagination, meeting fairy-tale characters. Every strange or wacky idea suggested by the audience can be turned into a story and music.
